Sant Antoni is on the western coast of the island of Ibiza.
When you set sail from Sant Antoni, we recommend that you visit CALA BASSA. A beautiful, tranquil cove, it is located very near to the port and is the ideal cove for the first day of a charter. It has a sandy beach with rocks on either end, and the pine forest surrounding the beach invites you to take a long walk or a well-deserved siesta in the shade. The shallow, tranquil, transparent water make it the ideal spot for water sports. Highly recommendable for families with children.
Sant Antoni is also famous for its sunsets. With hotspots Kumharas and El Café del Mar, at dusk the pilgrimage to see the sunset is massive and we recommend you watch the sunset from your boat.
We must go around Conejera Island to arrive at Cala Conta.
Cala Conta has a very beautiful sunset, but it is not an ideal cove for spending the night; it is a good place to anchor for the afternoon and then continue on to a safer anchorage. The beach guarantees safe swimming, especially for children. There are very few shady areas on the beach, so bring something with which to protect yourself. The views of the sea, with its different colours, will take you away to the island which appears to have popped up in the middle of the sea.
Since it is on the western side of the island, the water is especially clean, and in the evening you can watch spectacular sunsets while listening to music.
Cala Tarida is an open cove with a good seabed for anchoring. On the way there, you can sail close to the coast and see the little coves which, depending on the size of your craft, can be visited.
This is the longest and widest beach on this part of the island. To the right of the beach, the sand extends smoothly into the transparent water; while on the left, the water is deeper and there are more waves.
Our next destination is Cala d’Hort, a beautiful, narrow, sandy beach. As it is slightly open, it is perhaps not ideal for spending the night, but from Cala d’Hort there are views of the mysterious island Es Vedrá, which rises out of the sea just a couple hundred metres from the shore. In summer the beach is rather full. Stunning views can be enjoyed from the bars and restaurants. We recommend arròs a banda (Fisherman’s rice), arròs negro (rice made with squid ink), and steamed mussels.
In the evening you can enjoy the sunset in a unique natural space.
Port Roig is a beach located in the municipality of Sant Josep de sa Talaia, which is the municipality with the most beaches on the island. This cove is surrounded by small houses and low apartment buildings. Here you can enjoy lying on the white sand and swimming in tranquil waters.
Taking its name from the salt works in the south of Ibiza, Ses Salines Beach is a long sandy curve and is surrounded by pines and dunes. The crystalline waters sparkle during the windless days and radiate a sublime quiet and serenity. It is also ideal for hikers who wish to explore one of the areas of the Ibiza and Formentera Nature Reserve.
During the summer months, Ses Salinas is the trendy beach on Ibiza. It is a gathering point for the rich and famous, as well as for fans of the nightlife and nature lovers who know about the Ses Salines Nature Park.
Although it is better to anchor in Cala Jondal for the night, if you find it safe to anchor, you can go to the beach to have a cocktail, mojito, or caipirinha at the beach-side bars.
A handful of houses with exquisite architectural taste crown the hills surrounding the beach. There is a smattering of pines which provide beneficial shade, and finally it inclines into the crystalline waters of the Mediterranean.
This bay has impressive views and is surrounded by hills covered in pine forests, ideal for taking a walk through the land. Broad, with fine sand, it is inclined in its final stretch until it reaches the water. The water is shallow, ensuring fun and safety for children. Cala Vedella is an ideal location to anchor and enjoy the island. Many people come expressly to this cove to enjoy romantic sunsets from their boats.
