  • Day 1: Marmaris - Kumlubük (6.25 nm)

    Marmaris is a port city and tourist destination on the Mediterranean coast, located in southwest Turkey, in the province of Muğla.
    Little remains of the fishing village that Marmaris was just a few decades ago but still retains its charm thanks to its unique location between two intersecting set of mountains by the sea. It has two major marinas and several smaller ones.

    According to legend, is in the Göcek area that Icarus fell into the sea after his famous flight, trying to escape from the tower where he was imprisoned. Göcek was used as a port for ships loading chrome ore collected from mines in the nearby mountains during the Ottoman period.
